The Women’s Revolutionizing Housing (WRH) Collective

The Women’s Revolutionizing Housing (WRH) Collective in New Zealand recently launched its 2022 webinar series with the first event taking a look at the concept of cooperative housing models from an international perspective.  The WRH collective is offering this webinar series on topics related to housing alternatives in order to increase the knowledge, inspiration, and connections for women to be able to take more leadership and action for housing systems change and for launching local solutions.

The first event included a presentation from Julie LaPalme from Cooperative Housing International and Eugenie Stockmann from Cooperation Housing Australia. An open discussion in an online cafe-style forum followed the two speakers.

The monthly webinars are held on the 3rd Thursday of the month from 1.00 – 2:30 pm (NZ local time).

The Women Revolutionising Housing Collective is a flax roots movement with a network of diverse women working for housing systems change. They aim to catalyze positive local housing and community projects that are better for people and the planet. The network is currently coordinated through Common Ground, a social enterprise that promotes and enables connected, affordable, and sustainable housing communities.
