In this e-bulletin, we are excited to introduce the International Legal Research Analysis Initiative (ILRAI), a legal research project aimed at gathering information on cooperative housing law. We will be launching this initiative in four countries this year and globally in the new year.

Additionally, we highlight global challenges and solutions in the cooperative housing sector based on CHI’s participation in the Global Innovation Coop Summit in Montreal, Canada this past September. By sharing knowledge and best practices used internationally to reduce carbon emissions and resource extraction we aim to strengthen the cooperative housing sector and achieve a more sustainable future.

We also feature CHI board member Mike Duru from the Zimbabwe National Association of Housing Cooperatives (ZINAHCO), who received the International Cooperative Champion Award for his exceptional contributions to cooperative statesmanship and exemplary business practices.

The newsletter also covers the Confederation of Co-operative Housing‘s (CCH) annual conference that took place in the UK in October.
