We recently collaborated with ICA Asia and Pacific (ICA-AP) on a cooperative housing regional virtual forum held on March 9, 2021.  This online networking and information exchange was to introduce the participants to the work of CHI and ICA-AP. It was also an opportunity to hear from cooperatives working in the area of housing and increase interest in the work of ICA and CHI. The forum featured cooperative housing organisations from Australia (Cooperation Housing), Indonesia (Arkom), Malaysia (ANGKASA), Thailand (Asian Coalition of Housing Rights – ACHR), Pakistan (Karachi Housing Union), and the Philippines (Federation of Peoples’ Sustainable Development Cooperative-FPSDC & WeEffect).

More than 70 participants from across the world attended the event. The intention is to hold a biannual event to continue similar exchanges in the Asia Pacific region. The next event will be towards the end of 2021.
