Housing Co-operatives as a model for creating affordable and adequate housing in the Ukraine

November 12, 2018 - November 13, 2018

Join Co-operative Housing International for a two-day symposium on housing co-operatives as a model for managing complex energy refurbishments in multi-family buildings in Ukraine.

The  goal is to provide a unique opportunity for policymakers and experts from various parts of the energy sector to reflect on the implications of the fast-paced energy transition that has become the new normal, review the activities to date and to make further progress towards meeting the sustainable development goals.

Speakers from Sweden, Norway, Estonia, Austria, Poland, USA, and Germany will present the co-operative housing model from their country, how they have contributed to urban renewal, and how they are implementing energy conservation measures.

Speakers include the following Co-operative Housing International Board Members:

  • Anders Lago – Chair (Sweden)
  • Guido Schwarzendahl – Vice Chair (Germany)
  • Linda Brockway (United States)
  • Dr. Bernd Riessland (Austria)

The Symposium takes place in conjunction with UNECE’s Forum on Energy for Sustainable Development.
